Where forgotten subscriptions actually hide
Five places, in the order that finds the most money fastest. You do not need to do all five today, the first one alone usually turns something up.
- Your phone's subscription list
iPhone: Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Android: Play Store, tap your picture, then Payments & subscriptions. This is the fastest one and most people have never opened it. - PayPal automatic payments
Log in, then Settings, Payments, Manage automatic payments. Old subscriptions love it here because the charge shows up as PayPal, not as the company's name. - Your bank or card statement
Search the last three months for the same amount on roughly the same date. Repeating amounts are subscriptions even when the merchant name is nonsense like TS*DIGITALSVC. - Your email inbox
Search for “receipt”, “your subscription”, “renews” and “payment confirmation”. Every subscription emailed you at least once. - The card you never think about
The one attached to a partner's account, an old PayPal balance, or the card you only use online. Charges there are the ones that run for years.

How do I find subscriptions I forgot I was paying for?
Start with your phone's subscription list, because it takes about thirty seconds and catches app-store charges you can't see on a bank statement. Then check PayPal's automatic payments, then scan three months of card statements for the same amount repeating on roughly the same date. The tool above walks you through it and adds up what you find as you go.
Why is this so much harder with ADHD?
Nothing about a subscription asks for your attention. It was set up once, it renews silently, and the charge is small enough to never trip an alarm. Out of sight really is out of mind, so the money leaves without ever becoming a decision. That is not carelessness, it is how autopay is designed to work.
Does this tool see my bank account?
No. There is no login, no bank connection and no account. Everything you tick or type stays in your own browser's local storage, on your device. Close the tab and it waits for you; clear your browser data and it's gone.
Are the prices accurate?
They're typical list prices, there as a starting guess so you don't have to look everything up. Tap any amount to change it to what you actually pay. Your edits are what the totals use.
What do I do once I've found them?
