The ADHD Tax Refund
Late fees. Forgotten subscriptions. The second one of something you already own. The ADHD tax is real, and it is not a discipline problem. 77 pages that plug the leaks one sitting at a time, plus a spreadsheet that adds the money up for you and tells you what to do next.

A spreadsheet that does the adding up
Every other ADHD money workbook stops at paper. This one comes with the thing people go and buy separately afterwards, because the moment the numbers stop being a chore is the moment you keep going.
It totals itself
Eight tabs: subscriptions, bills, sinking funds, the debt snowball, the Refund Jar, a worked example and a Dashboard. Type one number in and the yearly cost, the payoff order and every running total update themselves. Nothing to set up.
It draws your money
A live Dashboard reads every tab: five running totals, three progress bars and three charts, your refund climbing, what's left to clear, and where the money actually goes. Seeing it is the point, and it is what people say they bought.
It names your next move
One line at the top of the Dashboard tells you the single most valuable thing to do next, and rewrites itself as you fill things in. No deciding, no staring at a wall of tabs wondering where to start.
It opens wherever you work
A real .xlsx file. Excel and Numbers open it directly, Google Sheets imports it cleanly. Not a view-only template, not a link to someone else's Drive.
Comparable ADHD budget spreadsheets sell on their own for about what this whole thing costs. Here it is the companion, not the product.
What's inside
Seven sections, 77 pages. Nothing is in order, start with whichever one hurts most.
Start Here
Three moves you can make tonight, a page for the nights you can't make yourself start, and a one-page map of how every worksheet feeds the next.
01 Stop the Leaks
The Subscription Hunt, Late Fee Zero, the bill ledger, and the bought-it-twice inventory for things you already own two of.
02 Impulse-Proofing
The 24-hour parking lot, a 7-day spend freeze, the windfall plan, and 20 things that give money back with real numbers attached.
03 Food Money
The fridge autopsy, the eat-first shelf, and a takeout trigger ledger that finds the pattern instead of blaming you for it.
04 Payday & Buffer
A 15-minute payday routine, five buckets, sinking funds, the $200 buffer, and a goal ladder that starts at $25 instead of $10,000.
05 Debt, Gently
The debt map, smallest balance first, colour-in payoff bricks, and a word-for-word phone script for getting a fee refunded or a bill lowered.
06 Make It Automatic
The autopilot map, ten 15-minute money dates, and the colour-in Refund Jar where the money you clawed back becomes something you can see.
07 Science & Grace
Why ADHD brains and money collide, a money shame amnesty page, and a plain-English glossary for every word banks use to make you feel stupid.
Seven files, one price
You get every version, not just the one that suited you the day you bought it. Switch whenever that changes, without paying twice.
For your tablet: 2 PDFs
The full 77 pages in Original and Dark. Over a thousand live links and 78 bookmarks, so the contents, the side tabs and every cross-reference are one tap. GoodNotes, Notability, Xodo and Noteshelf.
For your printer: 4 PDFs
Full colour and a black-ink Ink Saver, each in US Letter and A4, page numbered and built for paper: no tap targets you can't press. A print guide tells you what to print once and what to print in a stack.
Plus the auto-totalling spreadsheet. No account, no subscription, nothing expires, reprint it forever.
Because money admin happens at 11pm
Nobody sits down to face their bank balance at 10 in the morning. It happens late, in the dark, on a tablet in bed, which is exactly when a white page is a floodlight.
A real dark edition
Not an inverted PDF with grey text. All 77 pages redrawn on warm dark paper with their own artwork, tabs and buttons made for a dark screen, and contrast checked so the small print still reads at midnight.
And the original
The same 77 pages in the light edition, for daylight and for printing. Both are in your download, so it is never a choice you make once.
One honest note: the Dark edition is for screens. Print from the Original or Ink Saver files. Printing 77 dark pages would cost you a cartridge and we would rather say so now than refund you later.
Built for ADHD, not decorated for it
No page starts as a blank stare
Every worksheet opens with a three-step how-to strip. You never have to work out what a page wants from you before you can use it.
Nothing is pre-filled at you
Tables ship empty, so there is no example row to accidentally total, and the buckets, funds and goal ladder all have write-in lines instead of headings someone else chose.
No streaks, no dates, no daily anything
It is undated, so you can start on a Tuesday in March, vanish for three weeks, and come back to no empty boxes accusing you of anything.
Room to actually write
Every card stretches to fill its page, no dead bands, no lines too short for a real answer, and every page links to the ones that follow it.
The phone call that pays for this twice
Section 05 has a word-for-word script for calling a bank or a provider and asking for a late fee refunded or a bill lowered, including what to say when they say no the first time. Reading it out loud is the whole skill. One waived $35 fee and this has paid for itself three times over, and most people have more than one to call about.

Questions people actually ask
Is this another budget I'll abandon?
No, there's no budget in it at all. Budgets assume the problem is discipline; this assumes the problem is a brain that loses receipts. It's seven sections of small leak-plugging systems (subscriptions, late fees, impulse buys, food money, payday, debt, automation), each done in one sitting. Nothing tracks streaks. Nothing keeps score. There is no daily anything.
What exactly do I get for $9.99?
Seven files, instant download. Two tablet PDFs of the 77-page workbook, Original and a real Dark edition, both fully hyperlinked with over a thousand live links and 78 bookmarks. Four print PDFs, full colour and a black-ink Ink Saver, each in US Letter and A4. And an auto-totalling spreadsheet with a live dashboard, which most shops sell on its own as a separate product.
What does the spreadsheet actually do?
It adds everything up for you. Type a subscription in and the yearly cost appears; type a debt in and the payoff order sorts itself. Eight tabs feed one Dashboard that shows five running totals, three progress bars, three charts, and one line that names your next move and rewrites itself as you fill things in. It's a real .xlsx: opens in Excel and Numbers, imports cleanly into Google Sheets.
Does it actually pay for itself?
The Subscription Hunt page alone typically uncovers $10-40/month of forgotten subscriptions on the first pass, that's $120-480 a year, usually found on night one. Section 05 also gives you a word-for-word phone script for getting a late fee refunded, which is one call and usually $35. This costs less than one forgotten subscription.
Are the savings goals realistic, or another $10,000 target?
The goal ladder starts at $25 and tops out at $2,000. That is deliberate: unreachable targets are the single most common complaint in reviews of every other ADHD budget product, because a goal you can't picture hitting is a goal you quit on in week two.
What if I abandon it for three weeks?
Then you come back to it exactly where you left it. Everything is undated, so there are no empty date boxes to shame you. Nothing is in order either, you work whichever section hurts most. Skipping is a feature, not a failure.
Do I need a printer?
No. Use a tablet PDF in GoodNotes, Notability, Xodo or Noteshelf, where the contents, side tabs and every cross-reference are tappable, and write with a stylus. If you do print, there's a built-in print guide telling you the handful of pages worth printing in a stack, so you are never sending 77 pages to a printer, and the Ink Saver edition is black ink only.
Ready when you are
77 pages, light and dark for your tablet, colour and ink-saver for your printer, Letter and A4, plus the spreadsheet. Paid once, yours forever.
